Event management is no easy feat, its a science and a profession. It is with this mindset that De La Salle College of St. Benilde School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPaCE) is inviting Event professionals to enroll in the new batch of the Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Professional Event Management.
The program is for event professionals who want to be globally competitive in this dynamic and challenging field. The modules, though not ladderized, are integrated and cover a broad range of event process; from research and design, to careful planning, systematic coordination and scientific post mortem evaluation. Some added features of the course are protocol, etiquette, new templates, bidding, pitching, and risk management.
There are four modules that comprise the diploma program. The first is a 6-Saturday, 42-hour module entitled Principles and Best Practices in Event Management. This module gives an overview of event concepts, principles and trends. The templates and forms are concrete discussion tools that will provide the frameworks as to how to produce outstanding events. In addition, topics on etiquette and ethics needed and expected of a Professional Event Manager in the industry practice are also included.
Event Design, Planning, Coordination, and Evaluation
This module presents all the key elements in event management and how they fit together. It covers the whole event cycle from planning to coordinating the event itself and conducting post-event evaluation. It is a synopsis of everything event managers need to know about carefully planning an event and successfully accomplishing their duties.
Event Marketing, Sponsorship, and Fund Raising
This module examines how to use events to promote products, services and causes. It builds up the participants' skills in writing effective proposals for sponsorship. The module also covers a systematic approach in producing effective and unique fundraising cases.
Special Events and Risk Management
This module emphasizes the vital role of careful research, design and planning events prior to coordination and evaluation. The course provides participants an insight on how event management is done on a global perspective. It also considers Risk Management as a vital part of Event Management. It allow the students to find out how to use the risk management process to minimize problems.
The director of the program is one of the best professional event managers in the industry today. Ms. Cynthia Reantaso-Bernabe received her formal training in Event Management at Temple University under expert and renowned author Dr. Joe Goldblatt.
